Phosphorus (Soil Test Method):
Test for Phosphorus using Soil Phosphorus Tester
- For testing of available Phosphorus in Soil, first, prepare Phos -4 for preparing Phos -4, add 2 ml (20 drop) of Phos -2 in test tube. Add a pinch (very small quantity) of Phos -3 in test tube with the help of side corners of spatula. After homozygous shake, Phos-4 is ready to use.
- Take 2 gm soil sample in mixing tube with the help of spatula.
- Add 5 ml Phos -1 from Soil Phosphorus tester with the help of measuring cylinder and shake it up to 1 minutes.
- Filter this mixture in the test tube with the help of filter paper and funnel.
- Again add 1-2 drops of already prepared Phos -4 and hold till the blue colour is produced.
- Now, Match the developed color with the standard Phosphorus color rating chart and note result.
